Your new companyDue to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking for a Project Support Officer to join the Employment Team. This is a very exciting time as you will be part of a brand new, self-funded team, so there will be opportunities to progress and work collaboratively to improve the service. Birmingham City Council provides the city's residents with a number of services to ensure stability within citizens daily lives.

Your new roleAs a Project Support Officer, you will engage with multiple stakeholders and coordinate various project activities. You will organise and prepare materials for Board meetings (meeting packs, agendas, invitations). Working as a Project Support Officer, you will also organise training and workshops for staff members within the Council. You will occasionally provide administrative support to other programmes within the Council.This job offers hybrid working, with the expectation to work at least 2 days at the Council House. You will be based in a central office, with various transport links.

What you'll need to succeedThis role is looking for candidates with a background in project coordination. More specifically, successful candidates will need:

  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint experience
  • Familiarity with HR, staff training or reviewing job descriptions
  • Preparation of financial reports (ideal)
