London, United Kingdom Penguin Books Limited Full time

Have you got the eye of a hawk and a passion for working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment?

If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Editorial Coordinator to join our Cornerstone publishing house, working specifically with on newest imprint: Inklore.

**About Inklore**

Inklore is a new imprint that sits within the highly successful Del Rey team, who are one of the UK’s leading science fiction and fantasy imprints. It is a joint publishing venture between PRH US and UK, creating a list of exciting manga, webtoon and graphic novel series that engage huge global fanbases. We’ll be focusing on digital-to-print licensed publishing from a range of online platforms and publishing manga and webtoons across the romance, fantasy, science fiction, horror, and slice of life genres. These include series such as _Under the Oak Tree, My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lvl999_ and our existing internationally bestselling series _Lore Olympus._

**The opportunity**

This is not a commissioning role, nor is it an entry-level position. This vital position is responsible for making sure the books are project managed, taking them post-acquisition every step of the way through to publication date. In the first year we expect to publish 20 titles, which will increase rapidly in the next few years. On top of this we will be working on special editions and activity for retailors, events and conventions so this role will certainly keep you busy.

Working across Editorial, Production, Sales, Marketing and Publicity, you’ll be the lynchpin of the team, liaising with everyone to problem solve and keep things on track. You’ll need to be confident with complicated schedules, lots of competing - and shifting - priorities and be able to creatively problem solve. You’ll be a confident communicator and use these skills to keep others up to speed and on track.

**What you'll bring**

We certainly don’t need you to have worked in publishing before, but previous experience of supporting on key administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of company operations would be beneficial. We’ll need you be a quick learner and use your initiative to ask questions and be curious about the inside of a publishing house.

You’ll need to have:

- Impeccable spelling, grammar and punctuation skills
- Excellent communication skills, including confidence in building relationships with a wide range of colleagues, both in-house and freelance
- Exceptional organizational expertise, with demonstrable experience of juggling multiple deadlines and priorities
- A solutions-focused mindset and being adaptable to a wide variety of tasks
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Adobe Acrobat, and confident adapting to new online systems and databases

Backed by a team that's eager to support and develop you, we're keen to give you scope to contribute to projects, books and brands, and to shape and improve in-house processes for maximum efficiency.

**How to apply**

**What you can expect from us**:
**Salary**: Up to £30,000 depending on how your skills and experience align with the role, plus bonus and benefits

Our hybrid working approach.

PRH is currently experimenting with hybrid working and involving colleagues across the business to shape our future ways of working. The needs of our teams and individuals are different, so we’re not taking a one-size-fits-all approach. For this role, we’re looking for you to come into the office 3 times a week at our office in Pimlico on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Our employees are the heart of our business. We have a range of benefits to reflect our commitment to our employees, some of which are:

- 27 days paid holiday entitlement in year one (plus bank holidays), increasing a day each year up to 30 days
- Medical cover
- Life assurance
- Cycle to Work scheme
- Discounted gym membership
- Generous pension scheme
- Summer working hours (role dependent)
- Volunteering policy and charity matching
- Employee Assistance programme
- Mentoring programme
- Extended gender neutral parental leave
- Access to free and discounted books and eBooks across Penguin Random House UK
