Export Clerk

Preparing Export consignments for shipping, ensuring all consignments depart from the UK in accordance with the client’s requirements.
**YOUR ROLE **:Handle and monitor all QuickSTAT & Sterling Aviation consignments ensuring compliance with all agreed company policies. To work collaboratively with both internal departments & airline carriers to ensure maximum client satisfaction
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Issuing of MAWB’s in accordance with the planned flight schedule.
- Completion of NES Customs entries for non EU consignments.
- Issuing of consignment security letters and airline lodge paperwork.
- Generation & quality check of Export document pouch raised to accompany consignments, as required based on country of destination.
- Labelling & secondary checking of consignments prior to airline tender.
- Sending of pre-alerts to overseas agents.
- Monitoring of live consignments & completing the data entry of key milestone information on our in-house systems (Manifest & COB).
- Scheduling suitable amalgamations for airline deliveries.
- Shared responsibility for the overview of the department mailbox, to include the receipt of new bookings and internal queries.
- Dealing with telephone enquiries from both internal & external departments accurately and efficiently.

Keeping the Management team advised of potential & confirmed issues as they arise.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties / responsibilities at the request of the Department Manager or other Senior Management.
- Effective communication with all staff and cooperation within the senior management team.
- Maintain a professional manner towards all staff, seeking at all times to maintain company policy.
- Encourage Team-Work, cooperation and a good working atmosphere within the department.
- Seek appropriate support as necessary from your Manager in order to complete your responsibilities.
- Seek to resolve inter-departmental questions and issues as they arise and without conflict.
- Adhere to all Company Policies, at all times.
- Monitor existing Quality Control procedures for compliance and effectiveness
- Report ineffective procedures to the respective Department Manager.

**YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES**:

- Specialist (Life Sciences / AOG) Courier Operations Experience.
- Knowledge of the Airfreight Carriers operating from UK Airports & the services they offer.
- Experience of handling Time Critical Export consignments.
- Experience of working to strict deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
- Experience of using On Board Couriers.
- Understanding of transit milestones (Manifest /COB)
- High level of Geographic knowledge including Airport Codes.
- Comprehensive understanding of the various temperature-controlled packaging solutions available on the open market to specialist forwarders.
- Negotiation and problem solving skills.

- High level of written and verbal communication skills
