**Trainee Workshop Technician Apprentice**

**Role + Responsibilities**

We are looking for a Trainee Workshop Technician Apprentice, Responsible for the diagnosis, effective and efficient repair of instruments returned by internal and external customers.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Repairing and calibrating in a logical and systematic manner ensuring that the instrument is returned to the customer in working order, fully tested and in a clean condition.
- Provision of inspecting and repairing reports which will identify fault found or no fault found work performed, and test results, noting times and materials consumed.
- To ensure timely response to customer needs
- Ordering and procurement of spare parts from sister companies
- Commercial consideration given for the cost-effective repair/replacement of devices in the interest of the customer and Endress+Hauser.
- Working to all relevant procedures and specifications and quality management systems
- Dealing with customer enquiries in a professional manner
- Providing effective liaison between sales and service departments
- Developing an understanding of the office systems, ie: SAP/SMP, Outlook, CRM
- Providing assistance where requested.
- May be required to assist Field Engineers on specific issues in the field from time to time.
- Learn Product Knowledge via formal training and on-the-job training. Gain the relevant qualification in electrical engineering via external training. (Collage - Day Release)

**Qualification + Profile**:

- Maths, English and Science at minimum of grade 6
- SAP
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Attention to detail.
- Diagnostic Abilities
- Good personal organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Computer literate
- Good understanding of customer requirements
- Good commercial acumen
- Excellent telephone manner
- Basic Health & Safety Awareness
