Estimator - Supply Chain

Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of ‘Extended Life Solutions’ for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, has an opportunity for a Supply Chain Estimator to join our Revenue Management team based in Staverton in a brand-new role which has been created to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be responsible for providing supply chain product knowledge to the Revenue Management Team in response to Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and supporting engineering estimates for Non Recurring Engineering (NREs) for products and other charges.

You’ll manage the Supply Chain inputs to the Contract Reviews and Order Reviews to ensure they are completed in a timely manner. You’ll obtain supplier quotations where possible in a timely manner and provide estimated costs to support customer pricing decisions. You’ll communicate any supply chain risk and commodity-specific impacts to relevant stakeholders, understanding risk appetite and the materiality of estimation processes.

In addition, you’ll monitor performance data and prioritisation of turnaround times, average age of requests and inputs vs outputs. You’ll work close with engineering support on Make Vs Buy decisions whilst identifying opportunities to challenge current classification.

What you'll already have

You’ll ideally also have experience of reporting research results and using SharePoint, though training will provided within the role. You’ll be a natural analyst and comfortable reviewing drawings in a fast paced environment.

This is a full-time position based onsite in Staverton, working 37 hours per week; 7.5 hours Monday-Thursday and 7 hours on a Friday. We operate a flexible start time between 7am-9am.
