**Internal Technical Sales Assistant**

We are currently seeking an Internal Technical Sales Assistant to join our busy technical sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our established team in Huddersfield.

Here at Kempston Controls, our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and you’ll be actively engaging with customers to provide excellent customer service.

As a member of the Internal Technical Sales Team, you will often be the first contact with the customer. This role is ultimately about influencing customers while building long term relationships and providing the high-level service we are known for.

This is a varied and exciting role for an individual with excellent communication skills and who has a reasonable level of technical knowledge and understanding of control and distribution products. This is a diverse role and will include general telephone sales duties, creating formal quotations and following up quotations with the customer.

**What your day-to-day activities will look like**:

- Building, developing, and managing relationships with customers
- Creation of formal quotations
- Verbal quotations over the telephone
- Building, developing, and managing relationships with suppliers
- Obtaining relevant quotations from suppliers
- Dealing with and resolving any customer queries
- Maintaining a good level of product knowledge

**What you'll bring to the role**:

- Some technical knowledge and understanding of control and distribution products
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good organisational skills
- Good IT skills (Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Understanding of Electrical Wholesale preferred
- Experience of using Catalogues / Datasheets is preferable
