**Internal Technical Sales Assistant**

Due to business expansion we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Huddersfield team as an Internal Technical Sales Assistant.

Here at Kempston Controls, our customers are at the heart of everything we do and youll be actively engaging with customers to provide excellent customer service.

**R**ole**

This role is based at our Huddersfield site and will be varied and exciting. You will be joining an established team on a part time basis 8.30-1pm Monday to Friday, however there is a requirement to cover absence and holidays when necessary.

The job will include general telephone sales duties, creating formal quotations, creating formal quotations and following up quotations with the customer. As a member of the Internal Sales Team you will often be the first contact with the customer.

This role is ultimately about influencing customers while building long term relationships and is pivotal in providing the high-level service we are known for.
**Experience**

2 years experience working in the electrical wholesale sector is preferable

**Required Skills**:
**Technical**:Some technical knowledge and understanding of control and distribution products
**Telephone Skills**: Due to being the first point of contact with the customer excellent communication skills are required.This includes having a caring demeanor with customers and the abiliy to question customers carefully and sensitively to determine their real needs.
**Excellentcommunication and presentation skills**
**Good IT Skills**:You will need to have a sound knowledge and experience working with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
**Good organisational Skills** with a methodical way of working and attention to detail
**Experience of using Catalogues / Datasheets is preferable**: You will at times, and with relevant training, be required to establish parts numbers by looking up the specifications on catalogues/datasheets.

**KeyResponsibilities**:

- Building, developing and managing relationships with customers
- Creation of formal quotations
- Verbal quotations over the telephone
- Building, developing and managing relationships with suppliers
- Obtaining relevant quotations from suppliers.
- Dealing with and resolving any customer queries
- Maintaining a good level of product knowledge
**Person**:
You must be reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a can do attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment.
