Head Of Employee Benefits

Following a recent retirement, our client are seeking to recruit a Head of Employee benefits to take them through a period of transition, which a view of defining a clear path to take the business forward over the next ten years. You will along with externaladvisers be assessing target audience, customer requirements, competitor landscape, current product offering, Pricing and key USP’s in the marketplace.

The work required does not just finish at the strategy level, our client is looking for an individual that can turn that strategy into practical and feasible changes for the operational process and organisational structure.

Person Specification

The person who takes on this role will be a hugely important part of business strategy creation and delivery, whilst continuing to run the operations and have full P&L responsibility.

As such this person needs to be:

- A creative thinker with the intellectual power to solve concurrent complex problems
- Equally comfortable with big picture strategy as well as an innate ability to work in the detail and understand and manipulate financial models.
- Patient with, and tolerant of, a complex organisational structure
- Quick to understand what is going on and what we do and what the issues are
- Able to engage at all levels in the organisation act as strong leader to a team who will, potentially, be destabilised by change but at the same time be able to act with strength and confidence with senior management and governance bodies.
- Excellent communication skills but not delivering "death by power point" without substance. Must have a firm grasp of detail in the event of questions, but an ability to communicate the bigger picture and essential information.
- Good at developing talent.
- A working knowledge of this industry would assist in the analysis. Including an understanding of actuarial activities..
- A reasonable understanding of what a trust is would be helpful. It is of paramount importance that operational procedures align with the trust deed and rules.

In return our client are offering a basic of £100k plus excellent benefits. The role is Hybrid with travel throughout the UK as necessary.
