We are looking for bright, focused, driven and intuitive leaders to lead a rotational shift of operatives in our Heat Transfer department. Experience in Heat Transfer/ TextilePrint production is essential, as is a willingness to strive to succeed.

**Shift**:38.25 hours per week (05:45 - 14:00/13:45 - 22:00), with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

**Rates of Pay**:£13.89 per hour (inclusive of shift rate)

**Key responsibilities**:

- Following the production workflow to ensure daily production plans are completed.
- Driving production flow to optimise machine utilisation.
- Conducting start of shift briefs with team members so they are 100% on board with daily deliverable.
- Conducting shift handovers and ensuring total communication with other shift leads.
- Producing figures for Daily Stand-Up Meeting (DSUM) Boards.
- Presenting the DSUM figures for the morning and afternoon production management walkthroughs, with Root Cause reasons where necessary.
- Raise any absences to supervisors and/or management.
- Liaising with other production departments to ensure manpower is utilised effectively.
- Ensuring all staff are carrying out production tasks to the defined standards and within essential KPI’s.
- Ensuring all orders are completed and dispatched to the customer on time across all service types as per production schedules and requirements.
- Ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff is at its highest.
- Managing in-department bottlenecks pro-actively, and reactively.
- Raising escalations to relevant departments with accurate information to allow timely resolutions.
- Ensuring waste is kept to a minimum and reacting to quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Taking ownership of shift & operator performance and managing as required.
- Deputise for Team Leader in their absence.
- Recording and highlighting machine downtime reasons with thorough Root Cause reasons.
- Other tasks as required by the business.

**Responsible for the Following KPI’s**:

- Production throughput and performance.
- Waste reduction and overall control.
- Customer complaint reduction.
- Attendance of staff on shift, and the management of T&A issues.
- On-time-in-full dispatch of orders across all service types.
- Overall manpower management (holidays/sick/training/support).
- Unplanned machine failures and their resolution.

**Competencies**:

- Previous experience in garment/têxtile decoration essential, preferably in a print environment.
- Knowledge of digital printing (heat transfer, direct to film, direct to garment) advantageous for the role.
- Supervision and coaching skills.
- Ability to deliver feedback in a clear, concise and objective manner.
- Able to explain the importance and reason for adherence to standards and practices.
- Extract and present KPI’s and critical production points and adapt messages to suit the audience.
- Lead by example.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Flexible attitude to work, with ability to adapt quickly to new processes and procedures.
- The ability to work to strict deadlines and achieve KPI’s.
- Able to remain calm under pressure.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good concentration and ability to focus.
- High level of MS office and OS commerce system proficiency.
