**About this role**
Reporting into the Performance, Insight and Reporting Lead, this is an essential role that will lead a team of analysts to provide analytics and insights to the RD and regional SMT on the business performance metrics, enabling considered operational and commercial decisions to be made to support the delivery of both Copper and Fibre network in the area and ultimately the future full Fibre network infrastructure.
The role will be accountable for the delivery of actionable insight and reporting on a subset of the region’s scorecard goals, defining and creating management insight for one or more of the region’s programmes, safety, quality or people to improve customer service and reduce costs. The role will require extensive stakeholder management both within and outside of the region.
Within the region, collaboratve working with area managers will be required to identify and prioritise insight gaps to then drive analysis, discovery and solution design to deliver the optimum business outcome for the Region. Outside of the region, this will include working with central reporting and insight teams to ensure centrally produced data and insight reflects the regional requirements and insights driven externally are understood and adopted within region.
**You'll have the following responsibilities**
Deliver reporting aligned to the Regional scorecard, to drive performance, identify key risks, mitigating actions and provide insight into service, quality and financials.
Solve complex operational problems, questions and issues, using the data and analytics available to you. Taking data-led action on these problems or issues will lead to service or financial improvements.
Identify opportunities through insight and education to improve our processes, reduce failure rates, improve customer experience and reduce cost to the business ensuring compliance to quality, safety and people.
Agreeing improvements with the Central reporting team and area managers to ensure reporting is aligned to regional requirements with the aim of simplifying and improving the overall amount of reporting required.
Support the Regional on-boarding and deployment of new national / Openreach reporting and insight, bridging the gap between central teams and operations to ensure data is relevant, understood and adopted by operational teams in the region.
Provide insight and analysis reporting for in Region change. Drive the delivery of service improvements and benefits realisation, highlighting risks and mitigating actions to achieve KPI’s. Constructively challenge and create recommendations, based on solid analysis, that allows the Region to make informed decisions on the order and priority of improvements. Track agreed improvement actions to completion, using data to assess whether the actions taken have resulted in performance improvement.
Coach and support Patch Managers to enable them to understand and utilise the data and customise reporting to their needs.
**You'll have the following skills & experience**
Highly analytical and structured approach. Able to translate complex data into business insights and give recommendations.
Able to approach problems with a challenger mind-set.
Able to challenge, influence, negotiate and innovate from senior manager level to team members.
Strong experience of SQL (Data lab, Orbit) in an operational manner, expert on Excel/PowerPoint and other MS Office programmes. Data experience essential.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent data manipulation abilities with the ability to understand and present data in an Operational context.
Expert knowledge of Openreach data systems.
Experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships across Openreach.
Strong knowledge of the Openreach Fibre network delivery process, end to end systems and products.
