Sustainability Executive

**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Sustainability Executive** to join on a 12-month FTC and provide support and oversee our Recycling division's sustainability programs. Ensuring that business practices, products, and services are environmentallyfriendly and compliant with government rules and regulations.

As our Sustainability Executive you'll actively progress delivery of the Recycling division's sustainability road map, centred on our Now & Next Sustainability Strategy. You will deliver sustainability and innovation related projects, implement new processes,and report on ESG performance in line with our Sustainability Strategy targets.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders throughout the Recycling division, across the group, and with our suppliers and customers to develop strong relationships and partnerships to ensure sustainability practices can be implemented, constantly improving theway we do business and continue to reduce the organisation's carbon footprint. You will manage and deliver several projects simultaneously, ensuring that knowledge is shared between parties in an efficient and effective manner.

Additional to the sustainability aspects of this role, you'll also support the Head of Recyclability, Sustainability and Government Affairs with legislative and government affairs activities. This will include researching current and upcoming legislationand regulatory changes relating to waste management, recycling and sustainability at national and EU level.

- Strong project management skills
- Confident working in a multinational, matrix environment
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and demonstrate credibility
- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT Literate (mainly MS Office)
- Driven and motivated to succeed?

**Location**:Remote in UK or Europe, with occasional travel to various DS Smith depots
