**Your role**

To assist the Senior Planner in creating and communicating plans to Agriculture (in terms of Factory changes breakdowns etc..), Production departments (capacity plans etc..) and liaison with the Sales team.

**Planning Function**
- To gain a full understanding of poultry in MP.
- Monitor stocks daily
- Liaise with sister sites to ensure best utilisation of resources
- Handle additions/amendments during the shift and update production schedules where necessary
- Enter orders into the computer model to update bird, meat and portion requirements
- Monitor demand and report as required to support scheduling and full CSL
- Produce Daily Plans and Schedules to meet required delivery deadlines
- Produce Forward Plans and Forecasts to meet future demand.
- Monitor Ingredient, Flesh and Packaging stock forecasts.
- Liaise with Purchasing to ensure correct supply of resource to department.
- Produce sales forecasts, comparing actual sales against forecasted and adjusting as appropriate.
- Liaise with other departments ensuring effective service and communication. ie Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Trading, Distribution and Technical.
- Contribute to reviews of proposed new products and specifications particularly regarding effect on bird availability, production patterns and scheduling.
- Contribute towards and develop an SOP process within the Ballymena site.
- Undertake projects or investigations as requested relevant to area of responsibility and/or career development.
- Assist with general administration
- Always Communicate effectively with the business to keep them up to date
- Any other duties commensurable with the role

**Working pattern**

Monday - Friday 15.00pm - 23.30pm

**What you’ll need**
- A logical and organised approach to work with strong analytical abilities.
- Good communications/ influencing skills and ability to build and develop relationships both within the department and with other areas of the business.
- Computer literate, especially in Excel
- MRP or ERP experience or equivalent planning tool
- Able to work on own initiative
