Clinical Guidelines Facilitator

The Clinical Effectiveness Team within the Quality Department at UHCW has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven and motivated individual to join the dynamic team as Clinical Guidelines Facilitator.
This position is well suited to individuals who are looking to advance their career in the NHS, and be part of a thriving and supportive team that works closely with clinical specialties and healthcare professionals at all levels to drive clinical effectiveness and promote quality improvements for patients.
As Clinical Guidelines Facilitator you willassist in the implementation, promotion, delivery and monitoring of clinical guidelines activity within the Trust. You will also have exposure to other areas of clinical effectiveness such as NICE guidelines, and the wider function such as assurance activities linked with internal and external inspections.
Proven experience of using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is highly desirable. An understanding of NICE and national guidance is desirable. You will need to show past experience of working with data, and the ability to manage workload in a busy and dynamic environment. Key attributes for this post include being highly organised, attention to detail, high levels of accuracy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Personal qualities are also considered an important element of the role as this is key for building strong working relationships with key stakeholders to progress clinical effectiveness activity.

Facilitate the utilisation of the Trust policy and guidance for clinical guidelines.
Liaise and negotiate with clinical teams and healthcare professionals at all levels, to develop clinical guidelines ensuring that structure, content and format adhere to relevant Trust policy.
Advise and facilitate clinical teams / healthcare professionals in the implementation of clinical guidelines.
Create and maintain databases and IT solutions to support the guideline process and associated reporting requirements.
Work with relevant Trust committees, meetings and other relevant forums in the guideline development process.
Contribute to the ongoing review and development of the Trust clinical guideline policy and procedure and, where required, pilot methodological approaches as part of that development work.
Develop and produce reports and dashboards to ensure effective use of the eLibrary system and support ongoing performance monitoring requirements.
A keen understanding of clinical effectiveness and clinical guideline developments nationally that are relevant to the post.
Provide training sessions / presentations pertaining to the clinical guidelines system and processes as required and actively participate, support and contribute to the Clinical Effectiveness Training Programme’s across the Trust.
