As we grow the team, we have a number of exciting opportunities and we are therefore looking to recruit a number of commercial leads. The work is customer focused and involves supporting customers across the contract life cycle and/or supporting a wider project, providing commercial support and advice.
Commercial Leads provide professional commercial advice, support and delivery to a customer group(s). The work can range from devising the commercial strategy for a multi-million-pound infrastructure project to running a procurement process for professional services.
We are recruiting a number of exciting Commercial Lead roles (15+ vacancies) across the Commercial teams. We are keen to consider applicants for as many applicable positions as possible.
We have a number of interesting roles where you can make a real difference. These to be in the following areas:
**Nuclear Infrastructure & Capability**
You will support the delivery of the Nuclear Fuel Fund (up to £75m) to preserve UK fuel production capability which directly contributes to the British Energy Security Strategy & support activities under the Advanced Nuclear Fund and development of Advanced Modular Reactors.
**Nuclear Projects and Development**
You will support the Advanced Nuclear Innovation including the Advanced Nuclear Delivery and Future Nuclear Enabling Fund workstreams. These multi-million-pound workstreams seek to mature potential nuclear projects prior to selection of future government nuclear projects.
**Nuclear Engagement & Innovation**
You will support delivery of the British Energy Security Strategy through engagement with industry to identify future opportunities and areas for investment.
**Nuclear Decommissioning**
You will support scrutiny of proposals to decommission the UK’s nuclear sites and manage the country’s nuclear materials. Support transfer decommissioning of the Advanced Gas Cooled Reactor (AGR) fleet to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and provide integral support to the NDA Sponsorship team within BEIS enabling informed investment decisions to be made.
**Carbon Capture, Use & Storage (CCUS)**
You will act as the commercial business partner for this area, build relationships with the programme area, develop an understanding of the proposed policies in the pipeline that may require the use of the supply chain to deliver. You will then ensure that such demand signals are converted into successful procurements in accordance with government and Government Commercial Organisation (GCO) best practice and guidance.
**Great British Nuclear Lead**
You will support the requirements of Great British Nuclear, a new body which is to be set up to focus on nuclear development in the UK. Commercial support is required to establish the body through securing a range of contracts to provide technical expertise as well as to support with tech selection of future nuclear technologies
**Energy Supply X 2**

**Net Zero & Innovation**
You will lead on making contract management more pro-active within the Science & Innovation for Climate & Energy (SICE) directorate. You will work closely with SICE Project Managers on programmes to include preparing business cases for approval, drafting competition guidance and involvement in the writing of relevant commercial aspects of the guidance and contract schedules as well as contract management plans. There will also be a need to help upskill other members of the SICE commercial team on good contract management principles and leading on the roll out of account management across the SICE portfolio more widely.
**Help to Heat X2**
You will support the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 1 to improve the energy performance of social housing through targeted investment and collaborative engagement with social housing landlords and other government departments. You will be supporting the team
