We are seeking an enthusiastic marketeer with a love for Bedford town centre. Critical for this Job Share role is a marketing professional who can work both in tandem with the Job Share partner, and within a small team.

The applicant will take on an equal share of the below activity (work method and division of role to be agreed):

- Brand Management: Take responsibility for the brand’s physical and online presence, ensuring consistency and strategic placement for maximum return.
- Communications: Build effective, regular engagement with consumers within catchment, as well as the companies businesses within the zone, through the following channels:
Events
- Oversee the sponsorship of town centre events.
- Create and deliver a calendar of hosted events such as the Love Bedford Day and suitable seasonal event(s); all designed to increase dwell time and spend. Events should be executed against clear goals, and be evaluated against pre-determined metrics.
- Produce and manage a promotional calendar, to aid businesses in coordinating their own activity and promotions in line with wider local events.

Third Party Print and Digital Media
- Generate copy for monthly contributions to local print and digital media, ensuring that content in consistent and syndicated via social media channels
- Work with third party creative to design advertising assets and devise an advertising plan across local and regional advertising platforms (print, large format, radio, bus sides etc)
- Create content for regular B2B and B2C direct mail e-shots broadcasting including:
- B2C - Further to promoting our events and programmes, build a program of weekly updates and monthly roundups of new arrivals, offers/promotions and local events.

B2B - Topical, important matters of interest for business owners and their staff. Some of this content will come from inbound request.

Social Media
- Devise and execute weekly content plans for social media, from information supplied by the team, inbound requests for content sharing from members, and independent research; Use of Canva for content generation.
- Build on producing own content for FB and IG rather than re-posting to become the speakerphone broadcasting good news first.
- Active community management and responding to end-user requests and comments.
- Organise B2B networking and briefing breakfast forums quarterly and invitations for stakeholders.

Website & CRM System
- Manage the web designer and any other third-party contractors.
- Maintain and update website content; use of WordPress.
- Database maintenance as required, as we launch a bespoke CRM system.
