**Job Title**: Goals 4 Girls Lead Sports Practitioner

**Responsible to**:Goals4Girls CEO & Head of Football
**Hours p/wk**: Full time; 12 Month Fixed Term Role (STF)
**Salary**:Dependent upon qualifications and experience circa £26-28k per annum.
**Who we are**
Goals4Girls is an award-winning girl's football and mentoring organisation based in the
London Borough of Newham. Goals 4 Girls exists to support and raise the aspirations of young women and girls 11-16, within the UK's most marginalised communities. We are female-led, personal, and social development organisation that delivers programs designed by the girls, for the girls. Our purpose is to create lasting change for young women and girls in sport and society. Our approach is built around long-term intervention that builds sustainable pathways within, by providing long lasting impact and support way beyond the field. We are driven by a desire to break down social, cultural, and economic barriers by raising the aspirations of young women and girls to dream without limited beliefs within sports and education. We do this by improving their social and emotional skills, mental wellbeing, confidence, and academic success.
The need to engage girls in more active lifestyles has never been more urgent. This generation of teenage girls are experiencing worrying mental health issues and report being less happy, more anxious, and increasingly dissatisfied with their appearance. The pandemic has, in many instances, simply amplified these issues for many girls.
The barriers to sports participation exist everywhere: on the pitch, on the side-lines, within sporting clubs and organisations. They also span every aspect of sports; participation, decision making, and the superficial portrayal of women’s sports in the media and broader society.
**What we’re looking for**
