**Progression Support Coordinator**
We are looking for a bright, approachable and caring individual to support the women we work with, after graduating from the initial Bramber Bakehouse programme.

**Title**:Progression Support Coordinator
**Location**:Hybrid Working - at least one day a week spent in the office, located in Eastbourne. Must be able to travel within the Eastbourne and Brighton areas, supporting women face-to-face where necessary
**Salary**:£24,700 - £27,000 FTE, depending on experience
**Reporting to**:CEO

**Role Description**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create person-centred holistic development plans enabling graduates to become independent - you will assess their needs and set targets on a regular basis.
- Provide individual support and build trusting relationships with graduates, proactively reaching out to arrange sessions, attend appointments with them and check in on their progression.
- Work with the CEO and Programme Coordinators to development, implement and facilitate a mentoring scheme - helping to recruit, train, pair & support volunteer mentors
- Liaise effectively with other agencies involved in the care and support of the women we work with, to ensure their needs are sufficiently met. This includes meetings with external agencies and advocating on behalf or alongside women.
- Respond quickly to safeguarding concerns, reporting appropriately to the Safeguarding Officer and the local council as necessary, supporting the individual appropriately through the process.
- Build relationships, network with and keep open communication with employers offering voluntary or paid work placements or recruiting new staff to offer opportunities to graduates.
- Keep detailed records of all case-working according to best practice and aid in safeguarding, monitoring and evaluation.
- Build relationships with local services relevant for signposting service users to, connecting women with opportunities in line with their support plan.
- Regularly monitor risks associated with the individual women you are supporting.
- Contribute your experience of best practice to shape the way Bramber Bakehouse operates effectively.

**Personal Specification**

**Essential experience and skills**
- Support work or social work experience
- Driven and highly motivated
- Relevant experience with client group - women who’ve experienced abuse, exploitation and/or displacement
- Experience supporting an individual through safeguarding issues
- Personable and patient with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organised with record keeping and time-keeping
- Competent using IT and digital platforms
- Hard working and able to learn new things quickly
- Able to multitask effectively and cope well in stressful environments
- Able to work both collaboratively and independently

**Desirable experience and skills**
- Experience/training in offering recruitment or career coaching
- Experience of developing or shaping new services
- Experience creating and implementing mentoring schemes
- Experience managing teams, particularly volunteers
- Qualifications in social work/mental health related disciplines
- Experience delivering group sessions
- Advice & guidance qualification
- Experience of brokering new partnerships
- Lived-experience of abuse, exploitation and/or displacement
- Due to the role responsibilities, it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the post holder is female, permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010._
