Bank Maintenance Assistant

**Introduction**:
If you take pride in your working environment and its upkeep and are a good all-round handy-person; able to turn your hand to any task, then join Ballington House as Bank Maintenance Assistant where you will be able to decide when you work.
You will be working alongside contractors offering support and coordinating day-to-day tasks on site. You will be responsible for ensuring all relevant paperwork and tools are checked and fit for purpose. You will work alongside the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Officers to ensure the building, facilities, and equipment’s are maintained and functioning.
**Your Responsibilities**:
- Assist with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
- Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained.
- Being part of an on-call rota system that is managed by the Maintenance Manager.
- To assist in regular checks and maintenance.
- To assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
- To assist in all decorating.
- To liaise with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- To comply with system and procedures.
- Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
- To work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Previous experience of working in healthcare premises.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
- Respect the confidentiality of residents and their families.
- Report any observed untoward incident in the Unit to the Nurse in Charge Ward Manager without delay.
- Greet all visitors and answer the telephone in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner and present yourself positively at all times.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
