Role Overview:

As a Maintenance Planner within the operations team, you will take charge of developing, coordinating, and communicating scheduled, reactive, and continuous improvement work plans. Your goal will be to maximise operational efficiency by delivering detailed work plans that optimise resource use and support smooth scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the PLANET (CMMS) system, collaborating with the maintenance controller and team to ensure a streamlined, comprehensive planning and record-keeping system.
  • Work closely with the maintenance controller, shift leads, and project teams to align on resources and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Create maintenance job plans to support scheduling and execution, providing essential details such as required skills, personnel, estimated duration, materials, special tools, instructions, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in or lead maintenance and risk assessments, ensuring follow-up and implementation of required actions.
  • Assist with equipment failure analysis and integrate findings into ongoing policies and procedures for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project management and operations planning teams to synchronise work activities, especially during plant shutdowns, to maximise output and minimise disruption.
  • Support the Operations team's mission of delivering high-quality, cost-effective service.
  • Plan and assign tasks for efficient delivery of engineering work, tracking progress with maintenance KPIs.
  • Assist the maintenance controller and team with inventory management and purchasing of spare parts.

About You:

  • Background in electrical or mechanical fields, with vocational or technical certifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Recent experience (last 2-3 years) within an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, engaging various stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes and practices.
