**Location**: Remote or Hybrid (Brighton/Sussex)

Please note that we would consider a job share but at least one person would need to be Brighton/East Sussex based, be prepared to travel in the region and be in the Brighton office whenever required. Both roles would need to be prepared to travel where required across the UK and work some weekends and evenings.

**Salary**:NJC Scale 4, 11 (£24,054) plus statutory pension contributions

**Hours**: Full time - Brighton/East Sussex

Part**-**time - Remote (2.5 days)/Part-time - Brighton/East Sussex 2.5 days

**Contract**: Start asap - 1 year contract with intention of making permanent

**Reports to**:Head of Marketing and Communications and Fundraising/Fundraising Manager

Grassroots Suicide Prevention (GSP) is a national charity committed to the timely intervention and prevention of suicide. We work to empower people to help saves lives through connecting, educating, and campaigning nationally. Our vision is a future where more lives are saved from suicide.

**About the role**:
We are looking for a very confident, outgoing, go-getter who loves using their gregarious personality to influence and enthuse people to get results, but also enjoys being organised with strong admin processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in running and promoting events, initiating, and organising projects and knows they have tons of potential. You will be a part of a small but dynamic marketing and fundraising team and involved in many aspects of our work.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Project manage all aspects of a Sussex Suicide Prevention Champions programme
- Work with the Fundraising Manager to develop and implement a multi-channel supporter journey, focusing resource on high value fundraising activities and donors
- Build relationships and support a portfolio of community ambassadors and volunteers
- Set up and manage our events, such as the Brighton Marathon
- Attend and speak at events about Grassroots Suicide Prevention in order to gain supporters, donors and raise awareness
- Write for different audiences on different channels such as website updates, blogs, socials, and press releases
- Do any administrative duties to support the Fundraising Manager

**For this role, you’ll need**:

- Leadership experience - such as managing a club or group
- Adept at all aspects of Microsoft Office
- To have initiative and creative ideas that you can put into effective actions
- Experience of running, managing events
- To be socially adept and enjoy persuading and influencing
- To be an excellent verbal and written communicator
- To be a confident negotiator and presenter
- A genuine passion for the Grassroots Suicide Prevention’s mission and values
- To have a positive “can-do” attitude and thirst to adapt to different tasks and challenges
