The chief clinical digital information officer is responsible for:

- Clinical involvement in the procurement, implementation, training and audit of digital approaches to healthcare delivery.
- Development and implementation of a pan-trust strategy to ensure that clinicians and patients have sufficient clinical literacy in order to deliver and access digital healthcare services in the future.
- Enabling a culture of data driven decision making in clinical services - at both a clinical and service level.
- To lead on a strategy for digital engagement with nurses, AHPs, doctors and other clinicians to enable the effective implementation of digital delivery of care.
- To take a leadership role, across clinical services, in the digitisation of clinical pathways - promoting opportunities to develop systems which work across clinical services and pathways.
- In conjunction with Digital Health, to work collaboratively with external providers and agencies to align with regional and national initiatives, notably interoperability within the Integrated Care System (ICS) members EPR and data systems.
- To lead change as a clinical champion and role model for the adoption of digital working.
- To build relationships with clinicians to engender local ownership of and input to digital transformation initiatives and to deliver the benefits to patient care.
- To provide strong clinical leadership and strategic influence with external providers and agencies to align with local and national initiatives, including the development of the Lincolnshire ICS.

Leadership
- To lead on a strategy for digital engagement with nurses, AHPs, doctors and other clinicians to enable the effective implementation of digital delivery of care.
- To lead on a strategy for digital engagement for the population of Lincolnshire which involves service users in the development of digital options for service delivery - in conjunction with other agencies e.g. other trusts, 3rdsector organisations.
- To lead at a trust level the contribution to the system strategy to increase the digital health literacy across the Lincolnshire population, preparing service users for digital means of access.
- To take a leadership role, across clinical services, in the digitisation of clinical pathways - promoting opportunities to develop systems which work across clinical services and pathways.
- To promote the adoption of digital working across clinical services to optimise operational efficiency and deliver cost reduction
- To lead clinicians across the Trust in regard to their use of IT for clinical care delivery.
- To connect clinical decision makers and data analysts within the trust and wider Lincolnshire system.
- To represent clinicians and patients of the trust in system wide discussions regarding the procurement, implementation and use of system-wide digital systems.
- To lead on the use of Electronic Patient Records for the purpose of clinical documentation across clinical services.
- To develop trust wide policies and processes to guide the use of EPR in clinical care, leading on the monitoring and implementation of such policies
- In conjunction with Digital Health, to work collaboratively with external providers and agencies to align with regional and national initiatives, notably interoperability within the Integrated Care System (ICS) members EPR and data systems.
- To lead change as a clinical champion and role model for the adoption of digital working.
- To guide nurses, AHPs and other clinical leaders who are involved in the clinical pathway development, or similar quality improvement work, in the digitisation of clinical pathways.
- To build relationships with clinicians to engender local ownership of and input to digital transformation initiatives and to deliver the benefits to patient care.
- To provide strong clinical leadership and strategic influence with external providers and agencies to align with local and national initiatives, including the development of the Lincolnshire ICS.
- To serve as a clinical champion to promote the adoption of digital working and be highly responsive to users needs to assure widespread acceptance and use of the clinical systems
- To participate in local, regional and national CCIO networks to develop the Trust’s profile as a digital leader.
