A Lincoln based business that have shown incredible year on year results, continue to make waves within technology impacting the healthcare industry and they are now ready to make another new hire for a permanent Clinical Safety Officer to join the IT & Development team.

The business have established a fantastic reputation over 30 years providing incredible software solutions to the healthcare industry and this new role will essentially focus on overseeing the clinical risk assessments of several of the businesses services and products. The Officer will be involved in the risk assessment work and sign-off as part of the software development life cycle.

Key duties for the role will involve:

  • Risk assessment work
  • Documentation sign-off
  • Providing a clinical safety assurance service
  • Ensuring all standards, compliance and requirements are met to be deemed clinically safe and gain relevant approvals.
  • Ensure all safety risks associated with the systems are managed and that appropriate mitigation's are applied.
  • Ensure live safety incidents are reacted to and managed in the correct manner.
  • Provide training to organisations /members
  • Responsible for achieving the NHS Digital Clinical Safety Standards
  • Assisting with the Product Owner in the development of the product specification

This role is a pivotal position for the team and business, candidates considered will be required to have:

  • Background working as a Clinical Safety Officer
  • Must be a qualified / experienced Clinician with a current registration with professional bodies such as the General Medical Council or Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • Product ownership skills would be highly advantageous
  • Must have a strong understanding of technology, preferably with a good knowledge of applications and software from the NHS / private sector
  • Experienced using NHS Clinical Applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time keeping skills
  • Knowledge of safety standards DCB0129 and DCB0160 would be excellent
  • Comfortable committing to a full time permanent role based in Lincoln, offering hybrid work (2/3 days a week in the office)

The client is ideally looking to hire at a salary level dependent of experience of between £40,000 to £47,000 per annum with additional benefits and expenses on offer such as private health-care insurance, a cycle-to-work scheme and many others.

The role is from Monday to Friday with working hours of 8:30AM to 5:15PM and if interested we would love you to apply and begin speaking with us further about the role.
