**This opening assignment is for 1-2 months**
**Starting and finishing at the depot between 7am and 7.30am but flexible working hours is in operation** The postholders will work under the direction of a Chargehand but may often be required to work alone and will be expected to complete a range of routine and ad hoc repairs and maintenance tasks on allotment sites across the County. As part of this, they may also support other services and external contractors who have been engaged to complete more specialist work on the sites Key responsibilities:

- Undertaking maintenance and improvement works on allotment sites
- Maintaining appropriate records of works undertaken.
- Ensuring good customer care is provided to all stakeholders that you come into contact with during the course of your work (this includes but is not limited to: allotment tenants, allotment associations, local residents, external contractors, and staff from other Council services).
- Have a good knowledge of and follow the Council’s practices and procedures, particularly those regarding health & safety / safe working practices.
- Ensuring the safe use, security of vehicles, plant, equipment and machinery allocated to you

- Clean driving licence covering at least category B
