Senior Campaign and Public Affairs Officer

A great opportunity has risen for a new Senior Campaigns and Public Affairs Officer to lead the influencing and campaigning work done through the Healthy Air Coalition (HAC).
Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. As part of our Clean Air work, we currently act as the secretariat for the Healthy Air Coalition, a collective of leading health, environment and transport organisations with the shared vision of a UK free from toxic air.
Reporting to the HAC Campaign Manager, you will lead the coalition’s public affairs and influencing work, looking to achieve meaningful policy change by utilising the strength of member organisations. With strong experience in political advocacy, you will help grow air pollution as political priority amongst parliamentarians and ensure that the views of the coalition and partners are steering government policy.
You will have experience successfully influencing policy and working with politicians to make things happen. You will be an enthusiastic self-starter who is able to manage complex projects and balance priorities in varied policy environment. You will also have an excellent understanding and proven track record of political influencing, as well as expertise or a demonstrable interest in environment and/or health policy.
