Sales Assistant

A dynamic, entrepreneurial, and experienced individual required to assist the Senior Manager in delivering excellent customer service and the highest store standards while maintaining sales growth.
Working within a small, friendly and dedicated team will require you to be a team-player with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work alone as well with others. Being part of a tight-knit team, we actively encourage you to bring ideas forward where your ideas can have an immediate impact on the business and be fed back to Senior Management.
You will be provided with full training by experienced Self-Storage professionals who will guide you and give you industry specific knowledge. Whether you have prior knowledge of the sector or not we value a can-do attitude and your ability to utilise your skills in an exciting and dynamic sector.

**KEY PRINCIPLES OF THE JOB**:
**To assist the Management Team in**:
- Deliver store targets and objectives including occupancy levels, sales per sq ft, insurance income, merchandise sales and customer service.
- Ensure that you fully understand the Sales and Marketing brief and it is always adhered to.
- To ensure that you understand the Store Standard and adhere to it.
- To implement and adhere to all policies, procedures and routines, whilst making sure that all requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Maintaining at all times a clear focus on exceeding the customer’s expectations and increasing sales through a proactive attitude to marketing the store.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**To assist the Management Team in**:
- **Sales - **Working to maximise and seek out opportunities to increase sales and achieve targets. Ensuring that the sales process, as detailed in the Sales and Marketing brief, is always put in to practise at every enquiry and with every potential customer.
- **Standards - **Maintaining the Store Standard ensuring that the daily, weekly and monthly routines and cleaning rota are adhered to.
- **Marketing - **Actively implement the store marketing plan as detailed in the Sales and Marketing brief. Always promote the features and benefits of using Magenta to both business and domestic customers. Build and maintain professional relationships with associated businesses.
- **Customer Service - **The store team should be fully focused on delivering excellent customer service and exceed the customer’s expectation by ensuring that we put the customer first always.
- **Staffing -** Being a team-player and working in a tight-knit team for the success of the business
- **Cost Control - **To assist in ensuring that the store operates within its set cost budgets. Customer debt must be minimised by strict adherence to the company procedure.
- **Security, Health + Safety - **The store must operate in a safe and secure environment for both our customers and staff. This will be achieved by assisting the Store Manager in ensuring that store audits are completed, that all legal requirements are complied with, and that all maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Any issues should be reported immediately to your Operations Team.
- **Compliance / Administration -** The store must adhere to, and comply with all company policies, procedures and routines, as detailed in the store operations manual. All records must be maintained and filed as per the office layout plan. All new initiatives must be successfully implemented and maintained.
**Working Hours**
- The Store is open 7 days a week and in order to ensure we deliver a high customer service standard and the delivery of the key accountabilities there is some lone working needed.
- All key members of the team are expected to work 5 out of 7 days and at times the hours may fluctuate depending on rota structure.

**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
