**Your role at Orbit**

Role available within our Income team. Reporting into the Income Compliance Manager you will work to provide a high quality focus round compliance and collection. You will take a lead on maximising income through county court claims and enforcement action, so strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail will be key.

You will deal with compliance based customer enquiries and proactively contact customers to resolve debt issues and negotiate payment terms. You will investigate disputed debts and undertake income related administration as required. Strong report writing and record keeping will be key.

**What will help you make a difference.**
- Previous experience of Income collection, or debt management role
- Good understanding of housing law, particularly in relation to debt recovery including the county court process
- Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills
- Ability to write effective business communications, including bespoke letters to customers
- Ability to prioritise own workload and adapt to changing demands
- Previous experience of office administration
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience of giving advise to the public
- Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role
- Willing and able to work shifts between 8am and 8pm if required.
