Community and Support Services have a vacancy for a Support Worker based at Morley Tamblyn Lodge in Liskeard providing daytime support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and other associated conditions.

The post is 37 hours across 5 days (Monday to Friday), between the hours of 9:00am-4.30pm.

The centre promotes independence and empowerment, as well as retention and development of skills. This is achieved through using a wide variety of activities and fun interactive sessions.

We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic and proactive person to join our team. Someone with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own

The role is supporting individuals to reach their full potential by promoting independence and choice and encouraging confidence and self-esteem through a varied and diverse range of activities.

In addition, you will be expected to assist individuals with their basic needs (including personal care), in a way that respects their dignity, their rights and choices.

An NVQ level 2 or equivalent is required and a level of competency in computer skills using Microsoft Office is preferable.

Relevant training and a structured induction will be given to support you into this role.
