**About the Trust**
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS trust plays a huge part in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire's way of life.
The trust runs a busy hospital, The Princess Alexandra Hospital and provides services at St. Margaret's Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. Together serve a population of around 350,000 people.
**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Ensure that all project documentation is completed, filed and located in the correct file structure, creating and maintaining project schedules, creating responsibility lists for those who are involved in the programme/projects, and compiling summaries for those who were involved.
- Ensure that the programme governance is followed at all times in order to deliver the outcomes including meetings structures are supported by agreed Terms of Reference, clear scope, defined governance, agendas, action notes, plans, issues and risk logs, and other underpinning documentation.
- Be responsible for the administration of meetings as required by the programme, ensuring the preparation of high-quality presentation material, taking and transcribing of minutes, compiling action lists and monitoring of the actions, collation and distribution of the agenda and papers, room bookings and organising catering if required.
- Be responsible for the EHR staffing roster logging annual leave requests, absences, ensuring that the roster is accurate and finalised in a timely manner. Development of effective working relationships with key roles within the workforce team to support the recruitment processes is expected. Induction planning for new team members will form part of the role.
**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Excellent communication skills
- both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills
- Previous NHS experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- Extensive experience with minuting meetings and managing their own diary (mandatory)
- Great experience with MS Office (mandatory)
- Previous experience of working in an Executive/ Administration Assistant post or equivalent
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience._
