**Bayer Apprenticeship Scheme**

Our apprenticeship program provides early career opportunities to join one of the world’s leading Life Science companies. By joining us as an apprentice you can take advantage of the career paths available to you and set the course for your personal and professional future.

We provide a solid foundation for a rewarding and lasting career. Our program is 18 months and offers you the chance to gain hands on experience, develop excellent interpersonal skills and give you the opportunity to gain real breadth and experience. You will take on responsibility and contribute from day one and will be given the training and support you need to succeed.

**Mentor**

You will be assigned a mentor from your function to provide guidance and support as you progress on your apprenticeship. In addition to helping learn your new role they will be on hand to support you with your coursework.

**Onboarding**

You will get to know Bayer through your onboarding experience where you will be given all the information you need to make your first weeks at Bayer a success.

**Functional/Soft Skill Development**

As part of your apprenticeship, you will be given training to support you specifically in your role. You will also receive over the course of your program your specific personal development training.

**Qualifications**

Business Administration - Level 3 via WBTC.

**Working in Human Resources**

Human Resources (HR) and Human Resource Operations (HROP) teams act as part of the enabling functions underpinning the commercial operations of the business. Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with employment law, pension and tax regulations relating to our employees in UK and Ireland. Designing and revising policies, processes, and systems to support that activity, signposting employees to information on their HR activities and answering questions they may have from organisation design to simple transactional activities like entering holiday. Also maintaining Bayer as an employer of choice by the design of our compensation and benefits packages and leading the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda.

**What are we looking for?**
- Minimum of grade A-C / grade 4 in Maths and English GCSE level, Science A-levels preferred
- Ability to act with integrity with sensitive data and information
- Analytical, inquisitive mind set with the ability to make clear proposals for improvement
- Strong experience of Microsoft office suite including Teams
- Ability to multi-task and have good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to manage priorities and deadlines whilst focusing on attention to detail
- Ability to work in a cross functional and remote working team
- Must be a confident communicator with both internal and external stakeholders

**Major tasks and responsibilities**
- Responsible for answering employee enquiries relating to HR topics using Service Now (our HR query management system)
- Appropriately communicate with internal teams and external vendors on employee benefits
- Processing starters, changes to contract, leavers in the HR System
- Maintain compliance with the necessary Internal Control Systems
- Create, maintain and remove knowledge articles for AskHR (our intranet pages) to assist employees and people leaders on HR topics
- Enter Payroll related data in the HR system accurately
- Actively support HR led initiatives either as part of a project team with specified tasks or individually owning the end to end Project
- Be reactive to business led initiatives to deliver required information, changes and outcomes in line with deadlines
