Senior Homecarer

Along with having a caring and compassionate manner, you will be an effective communicator who is able to produce clear and accurate records, works well in a team, with a willingness to support and promote excellent levels of care delivery, engaging in the progression and development of new staff members.

You should hold an SVQ3 in health & social care, or equivalent, or be in the process of obtaining this qualification.

You must be a driver and have your own car. You will be required to become a member of the PVG scheme.

MAIN DUTIES
- Undertake any care and support provision, including domestic duties, identified in the client’s personal plans
- Identify and alert the Duty Coordinator (“oncall”) to any significant change in health, welfare, capabilities or support system of the client
- Acting as a key worker for designated clients, as agreed with the service manager
- Have input and involvement in client care reviews
- Make yourself available for work outwith agreed timings on an emergency basis
- Have knowledge and understanding of your role in health and safety matters, relating to yourself, your colleagues and others, ensuring you identify, report and address any health and safety issues appropriately.
