We’re looking for a talented CNC Manufacturing Team Leader to work for our client.

**The Role**:
As the CNC Manufacturing Team Leader, you will be conducting production operations and will take on additional responsibilities in pursuit of the smooth running of the CNC machine shop.
The working hours are Friday
- Sunday, 6am
- 6pm
- 36 hours but you will be paid for 51 hours.
The client will consider experienced CNC Setter/ Operators who have excellent leadership skills who are ready to take the next step.
In the job you’ll be tasked with the following:
Health, Safety and Environmental:
- Working with the other CNC Team Leaders in the business, who are collectively responsible for Delivery on Time and the Sales Order Book.
- Responsible for the proactive day to day management of the manufacturing resources in the department to achieve the above.
- To organise, motivate and lead the team to meet the relevant planned work to time, cost and quality.
- Be able to demonstrate that you are working toward 100% schedule adherence (Works Order) within the area of control
- Identify and implement improvements to working practices as required to improve performance against departmental and company KPI’s.
- To address and resolve proactively any and all Quality issues in the department.
- Identify, and implement improvements to deliver the productive hour requirement of the department and satisfy the Works order requirements.
- Undertake SQCDP and Continuous Improvement activities as required.
- Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing methods working closely with the Manufacturing Engineering Department as required
Functional:
- Manage day to day resources and facilities to achieve 100% schedule adherence (Works Order).
- Deliver the productive hour target for the area for individual machines and the department.
- Lead, develop and manage the team to deliver planned work to client standards, quality, time and cost.
- Ensure all departmental paperwork is completed correctly.
- Support the Senior Supervisor with employee appraisals and development plans as required.
- Establish and maintain good housekeeping practices that will ensure a safe working environment consistent with all Health and Safety at Work and COSHH requirements.
- Conduct and maintain Risk and COSHH assessments within the section..
- Deliver the Quality requirements for the department, supporting at all times the Quality Department as required.
- Address and resolve quality issues in the department.
- Ensure that all NCR’s are vetted, understood, addressed, resolved and signed prior to submission, in a timely manner.
- Ensure all quality documentation is correctly and timely completed and that quality issues are fully investigated and actions identified and implemented to prevent reoccurrence.
- Identify/manage/support Continuous improvement projects in the area.
- Devise and implement an Overtime control system to ensure overtime is only worked when required and is always profitable.
- To report against KPI’s as required.
- Other reasonable duties as requested.
You will need:
- Demonstrable and significant career experience of working within a CNC Miller/ CNC Turner and/ or Conventional Grinder role, with experience of setting and operating various CNC machinery and manufacturing a wide range of components and products for various industries.
- To have the ability to oversee a team of CNC Machinists and to communicate clear technical advice and instructions, offering practical CNC machining demonstrations and alterations, when required.
- Excellent time management and delegation skills, with the ability to motivate your team and keep morale high.
- To be a good communicator and listener, while working closely with the other Team Leaders, to ensure a one team ethos and defined way of working to allow the Machinists to work in sync.
- To be willing to work every weekend and occasional overtime where business needs require.
