We’re looking for talented **Conventional and CNC Grinders** to work for our client.
They want to recruit a **Conventional and CNC Grinders **with demonstrable experience in setting and operating CNC Lathes and Turning Centres.

**The Role**:
As the Skilled **Conventional and CNC Grinders,** you will be primarily responsible for setting and operating grinding machinery including Cylindrical, Surface and Bore Grinders.
In the job, you’ll be tasked with the following:
- Health and safety of yourself and others
- Producing high quality components to exacting standards
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Setting and running parts to planned time
- Continuous improvement of methods and working practices
- High housekeeping standards
It’s preferable that you’ve got some workplace experience of operating machinery in a precision engineering environment.
To be suitable for the **Conventional and CNC Grinders **role, you will ideally be:
- Time served background in grinding
- Be able to work alone and use your initiative
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attitude is key, our client are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who is keen to learn and be a team player, whilst working in the **Conventional and CNC Grinders **role.

**The Package**:
- Basic salary: _£10.00 - £14.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Permanent or temporary to permanent contracts.
Shift allowance is dependent on hours of work, paid up to 33%
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
**Working hours**:
The client operates using a varied shift pattern for the **Conventional and CNC Grinders role** and days/ times can vary, dependent on the role and workload, although you will usually remain on one shift pattern, to enable a steady work/ life balance.
Day shifts are 6:30am
- 4:30pm, Late shifts are 4:00pm
- 2:00am: Monday
- Thursday and the weekend shift pattern is 6:00am
- 6:00pm: Friday
- Sunday.
Due to a high volume of work in our client’s order book, regular overtime is available by working extra hours either before or after your shift or on days off.
Overtime is paid up to 30%, dependent on hours of work.
