Job Description: Junior Interior Designer

For this position you must have strong skills in Vectorworks, InDesign and estimac, experience in the high-end market and be forward-thinking. This role needs a wellrounded, agile individual that is not afraid to help the team. Strong, multi-tasking and organisational skills are required for organising installations, along with lateral thought and efficiency. You will be involved in both design and technical aspects of our projects, so a good understanding of both aspects is critical.

In this role you will be working closely with Senior Designers and assisting on all design fronts.

Our studio is made up of a small and highly experienced team who work well together. We are situated in Chelsea/South Kensington above the Conran Shop.

Role and responsibility:

- Working closely with creative directors and designers at presentation and initial concept meetings
- Working on presentations using InDesign
- Create boards, layout plans and put presentations together
- Updating Ward & Co collateral when required
- Research and meet with new suppliers
- To prepare FF&E schedules with associated costs and correct specifications with guidance from a senior interior designer
- Prepare and manage comprehensive schedules. (Hard finishes, bathrooms etc)
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors and consultants as needed
- Prepare and manage purchase spreadsheets and assist the bookkeeper with invoicing updates
- Produce purchase orders, negotiate, coordinate and liaise with suppliers
- Maintain and develop existing relationships with suppliers and manufacturers and foster new relationships with the above
- Coordinate delivery and installation of all FF&E and oversee the handover alongside our purchaser
- Ensure that FF&E library/sample area is operated and maintained
- Have experience of delivering neat, precise, and accurate design information and schedules be able to represent the company externally to suppliers confidently
- Be willing to support the rest of the team and contribute to a positive working environment
- Be client facing when required
- Happy to attend work related events are represent Ward & Co.
- Must be a problem-solver and have a good attention to detail
- Happy to turn a hand to help the team and directors

Job perks:

- 3pm finish on a Friday
- 25 days holiday
- The studio closes for the Christmas period, some additional holiday time given by the company

Salary is competitive and dependant on experience

**Salary**: From £28,000.00 per year
