**OVERVIEW**:
The Atkins Interior & Spatial Design Team are looking to take on a new member of their team to support their increasing project load. The activities below represent an overview of the position of a Designer and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities. A flexible approach is vital, together with initiative in order to contribute to the team objectives.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- You will have the ability to sketch by hand.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Revit, InDesign and Photoshop would be beneficial, but training can be provided if necessary.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem solving, attention to detail and a motivation to learn.
- Keep organised and check your work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instruction.
- Assist your team with space planning, test fitting and schematic design schemes for interior design projects.
- Have a passion for developing presentations and supporting material.
- Contribute to the furniture selection, prepare furniture RFPs, prepare final furniture specification documents alongside your design team.
- Prepare finishes and material boards for client presentations and prepare final finish specification documents and plans.
- Application of basic elements and principles of design including form, scale, colour, texture, pattern, light, balance and proportion.
- Interest in current design trends and philosophies from workplace environment solutions to colour theory.
- Support the design team ensuring all deadlines are met in accordance with project programme.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related discipline
