**Role Purpose**:
Reporting into the HR department, this role is to support with the administrative function of the HR & LD department, primary focus will be supporting the learning and development function, ensuring we have the skills needed to continue to be one of the areas leading food manufacturers. This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, problem solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the site trainers (production support), ensuring training and assessments are being delivered in a timely manner.
- Carry out frequent training meetings with the site Trainers and departmental managers to ensure training delivery is on track and agree plans and targets.
- In conjunction with L+D Manager discuss and plan with department leads the utilisation of the Apprentice Levy fund for site and check progress of existing Apprentices. Any concerns to be raised to the L&D Manager.
- Training administration. Ensuring that training records and systems are accurate, updated and maintained.
- Carrying out learning needs and skills assessments and help to develop competency frameworks and plans for the site.
- Ensure compliance training is delivered to company, customer and statutory requirements e.g. Induction, Food Safety, Health & Safety.
- Build strong, productive business partnerships with third party L&D providers & suppliers. -Develop/source educational materials and programs as appropriate.
- Ensure all L&D activity is aligned to the behaviors and values contained within the company ADART model.Assist and support the L+D manager with collation of KPI metrics/data for monthly reporting to the HR Manager.
- Cyclical audits and assessments of individual skills and knowledge that validates in-line training and provide physical evidence of standards and competence.
- Coordinate and deliver training as identified for roles inc. Food Safety, Allergen, Equality & Diversity, Integrity, etc. and ensure this training is kept relevant and in line with business needs
- Perform validation to ensure that staff are using the learning on the job.
- Support the development of training plans across Shift Teams to maintain mandatory compliance and build training plans for keeping skills at a necessary level.
- Support the implementation of a Learning Management (LMS) system ensuring accurate records are maintained for traceability and training is kept up to date
- Deliver training needs around new projects / machinery etc to site employees.
- Perform assessment activities to ensure that staff have retained the knowledge from the learning
- Act as a point of contact for colleagues who may wish to discuss learning matters.
- Assist in maintaining learning KPIs.
- Drive consistent, relevant traffic engagement of our learning platform
- Coordinate mandatory compliance training for new starters and competence verified within 12 weeks of commencement of employment.
- Write, review and amend SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) liaising with technical training to ensure QSOP’s are aligned, working on food quality safety culture.
- Update Document Control Systems and Site Training to reflect latest document revisions.
- Explore new ways to engage and reach our employees.
**Knowledge Skills & Experience**:
- HACCP Level 4 (training can be given) -Food Safety Level 4 (training can be given)-L&D qualification (or proven track record in a similar role) -Level 2/3 adult training qualification (PTTLS) -Train the Trainer (training can be given)
Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
