Job summary The post holder will work as part of the Facilities Services Team.
They will assist the Facilities Services Manager in ensuring the portering department operates smoothly and effectively on a day-to-day basis across all Trust sites.
The post holder will play a key role in the leadership and effective allocation of work to Team Leaders within the Porter Service, delegating where necessary and ensuring appropriate allocation and monitoring of workload to maintain high standards of service delivery and the safety and well-being of patients, staff and visitors at all times.
Main duties of the job Main Tasks Required of the post holder To coordinate and assist the Facilities Services Manager in providing the Foundation Trust with an effective Porter service across all Hospital sites.
To coordinate and assist the Facilities Services Manager in the review and development of the service and to ensure it is adaptable and responsive to meet customer needs.
To coordinate and assist the Facilities Services Manager in the implementation of guidance and legislation from various sources Codes of Practices, Guidance.

Person Specification Education/ Qualifications Essential Level 3 Administration/Leadership and Management or willingness to work towards.
Good General Education Word-processing Database and Excel skills Desirable Formal IT qualification, such as the European Driving Licence Supervisory /People Management Training Management Experience Knowledge, Training & Experience Essential Experience within a supervisory role Experience (through placements or employment) of working in a busy environment.
Full UK Driving Licence Desirable Portering experience and logistical knowledge within R&D As above Essential Level 3 Administration/Leadership and Management or willingness to work towards.
