**Role Overview**

The Logistics Assistant will be involved with all aspects of the logistics department’s administrative duties & ensuring all deliveries/collections to and from Delta are made on time including the following:

- All paperwork is checked with items being delivered to make sure deliveries are accurate
- All paperwork for despatch items to be checked
- Understanding of shipping tasks
- Accept deliveries in accurately
- Keep logistics area tidy
- Any other reasonable task, as directed by Warehouse Supervisor or Manager
- Reporting any variances to the management team
- Always Adhering to Health and Safety policy

**Key responsibilities**
- Be a point of contact for the logistics team
- Collate stock and prepare pallets for despatch
- Manage and update internal systems
- Communicate with Internal & External drivers
- Ensure a high level of communication is maintained

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- PC Literate
- Professional telephone manner
- IT and numerically literate
- Previous experience within a transport environment is desirable, however on the job training is provided
- Demonstrable attention to detail
- Reliable, Trustworthy and conscientious
- Able to multi-task and prioritise own work
- Act on own initiative
- Excellent communication skills

**Shift Pattern**:

- Flexible working hours: shift patterns are in place
