**The Role**

This role is working with Jewson part of the STARK Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, and maintain the cities oftomorrow.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven **Sales Advisor** to join our team in **Stoke on Trent**

This is a great opportunity for an individual to join the team; really driving our internal sales as well as demonstrating great customer service. You'll be the face (and voice) of the business, often the first point of contact a customer has with us. You'llchat with customers throughout the day, both on the phone and in branch, helping them find the materials they need for their projects and converting these into orders. This is an essential role within the branch network and an important support to the wholebranch team.

We are open to considering anyone for this role, ideally merchant/construction sales experience is desired, but training is provided where needed. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has a willingness to learn and enthusiasm to thrive withinour team

**Some specific experience we are looking for**:

- Previous experience within a Builders Merchants would be extremely beneficial, but not necessary
- Previous experience in a sales role, with a flexible and proactive approach
- A passion for delivering great customer service and leading by example
- A good level of IT literacy
- The ability to organise and manage workload well

**What will I be doing?**

As an **Internal Sales Advisor**, you'll get the opportunity to build relationships, negotiate prices and generate sales each day, along with handling cash transactions, placing direct sales orders, organising delivery times and keeping customersinformed once their orders are placed - all while giving the customer a fantastic service. Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Getting to know our products and services to maximise all customer interactions
- Developing new customer accounts and lapsed accounts
- Assisting and advising customers face to face at our trade counter and via phone
- Supporting branch management and the wider team
- Build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers, managing feedback accordingly
- Ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion
- Following plans to continuously improve customer experience
