**SALES SUPPORT ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**: Sales Support Assistant

**Responsible To**: Sales Manager

**Responsible For**: Responsible for aiding in the administrative duties of the sales team and helping customers through the sales process. Responsible for answering customer queries and updating customer records. Responsible for providing troubleshooting information, analysing, and reporting customers’ needs and information, checking customer accounts. Responsible for answering customer sales queries over the telephone.

**Job Purpose**: To take care of administrative duties to help the work of the sales team. Respond to customers' questions, resolve their complaints, and make sure orders are processed on time once scheduled.

**Hours of Work**: Basic working week of 37.5 hours, to be carried out between Monday and Friday

**Key Working Relationships**: A close working relationship will be required across a wide range of people including Senior Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Representatives, Telesales, Key Account Managers, Administration Team, Human Resources, and key contacts within the organisation.

**Training & Development**: SB Skills Solutions view regular and ongoing relevant training as essential to job satisfaction and career development. It is expected that the post-holder will be offered to participate in training, which is relevant to their present duties when deemed necessary.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Maintain a cheerful attitude while answering all inbound calls and addressing customer or sales team needs.
- Support sales team members by completing and processing orders and keeping senior staff informed of any issues with delivery.
- Establish active communication and engagement with all other departments to help where necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with the sales team by creating and issuing sales tracking documentation upon request.
- Identify and source training and trainers.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of course availability in order to promote these and drive-up business.
- Work with colleagues to ensure the companies brand as provider of choice is upheld and promoted across the business.
- Work with colleagues across the business to ensure that the companies’ mission and values in terms of growth and quality are upheld and promoted to customers.
- Any additional duties that the Sales Manager may deem necessary.
- Attend and contribute to meetings as appropriate
- To always maintain confidentiality in matters
- To perform any other duties as may be reasonably expected within the purpose of the role and/or to meet the service delivery needs of SB Skills Solutions.
- To provide high quality customer service externally to clients and other external bodies; and internally to SB Skills Solutions colleagues, volunteers, and departments.
- To act in a professional manner at all times, promoting the good name of SB Skills Solutions.

The Sales Support Assistant will be mindful at all times of the overall mission and values of SB Skills Solutions Ltd.

The Sales Support Assistant will be mindful of Health & Safety at work legislation at all times, and will follow SB Skills Solutions Ltd.’s Policies & Procedures

**Working hours**
- Your normal working hours are, 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, though you may on occasion have to work flexibly to meet a project deadline or when attending an event or conference.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £21,000.00 per year
