**Description**:
**Job Purpose** **& Accountabilities**

To effectively monitor CCTV deliver a high level of customer care and support when dealing with both internal and external customers, and adding value to all the services supported through effective communication and liaison with customers, clients, other sections, departments and organisations.

To work creatively in an innovative integrated manner in line with the scope and vision of the new 24/7 Operations Centre ensuring that improved services are delivered to the people of Bristol.
- All performance and customer/service quality targets are fully achieved at all times, and service and quality standards are continually improved.
- To ensure service accessibility for customers contacting the Operations Centre and take ownership of all service requests/reports ensuring the effective analysis of calls/contacts, the accurate identification of emergency situations and fully, effectively and quickly achieving practical solutions.
- All CCTV is effectively monitored and related processes undertaken in accordance with clients and police requirements and associated legislation, and effective action pursued in response to observed activities and incidents especially graffiti & waste.
- Radio systems are effectively monitored and related processes undertaken in accordance with client and police requirements and associated legislation, and effective action pursued in response to observed activities and incidents.
- All administrative functions are effectively undertaken, including accurately maintaining all records, analysis, interpretation, reviews and liaison relating to all the CCTV operations - all compliant with data protection protocols.
- Helping to ensure service standards and KPIs are met in line with all SLAs, contracts and accreditations.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**:
SIA Frontline CCTV licence

Knowledge of systems -CCTV technology

Commitment and ability to achieve improvements in customer access and to continuous improvement in quality customer service through own development and the use of technology.

An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection in a service with access to restricted data/intelligence.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills including effective questioning, listening, showing empathy, remaining calm under pressure and able to deal with challenging situations.

Ability to gather data accurately and interpret it to ensure appropriate action is taken.

**Desirable**:
Experience of CCTV monitoring systems & 2 way radio systems.
