Volunteer Helper for Serving and Socializing at Tea

Ellesmere Port, United Kingdom Chester & District Federation of the Blind Full time

The Chester and District Federation of the Blind is a local charity set up originally to help blind and partially sighted people. But since the pandemic we have developed Tea for two to include sighted people who may live alone and benefit from the chance to meet up to have a cup of tea, or a glass of wine and engage in some much-needed social interaction, in a relaxed group atmosphere. Just a couple of hours on a regular basis is something to look forward to for an isolated person.

We are looking for a number of people to help support the day by serving drinks and food, socializing with the members and new visitors. Creating a warm friendly atmosphere with fun and laughter is what the afternoon is all about.
