**Personal Care Assistant**
**Job title: Personal Assistant**
**Location: Deiniolen - Caernarfon Area**
**Hours of work: casual hours up to 20 hours per week and 48 extra hours every 6 - 8 weeks as mutually agreed**
**Weekday mornings - 7am - 8am**
**3 evenings per week for 2 hours, times would vary from 6.30-8.30pm or latest 7-9pm**
**Saturday or Sunday afternoon for 4 hours**
**Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour**
**Introduction**:
A committed, caring and flexible Personal Assistant is required to support a young lady on a casual basis for up 20hours a week. This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable this family to manage their support independently. Training can be provided as required and where available. Desirable to have own transport and a full, clean driving licence but not essential
**Main Duties**:
- To support before school with getting up, getting washed and changed.
- Assisting into a chair
- Evening support of washing/bathing and putting to bed
- Weekend support of taking out and about for walks or shopping or other activities. Assisting with activities that the young lady enjoys.
- Preparation of food and drinks and assisting with feeding.
- To carry out any other reasonable requests that fall within the scope of this role that the employer may make from time to time.
- Undertake any other further training as identified/required

- Active and energetic and enthusiastically open to new experiences
- Proactive individual with local knowledge.
- A good sense of humour.
- Caring, honest, responsible and patient.
- Flexibility around hours of work and main duties of the job, with a view to possibly undertaking overtime
- Reliable with good time keeping.
- Able to use own initiative and be self-motivated.
- Respect the privacy of the family and uphold confidentiality at all times
- An ability to develop and maintain a supportive relationship.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
**Benefits**
5.6 weeks’ holiday per year (pro rata).
Sick pay at SSP rate.
Training provided if required, where available.
