**Job Description**:
**Specialist Customer Service Advisor**

**Location**: Bedworth CV12 8LL /Hybrid
**Working Pattern**: Monday-Friday 30-minute unpaid lunch, additional paid morning, and afternoon break.
**Hours**: Full Time 9am - 5pm, 4:30pm finish on a Friday
**Salary**: £12.70 per hour
**Contract**: Temporary until 30th June 2024

**A bit about us**
The Warwickshire County Council Local Welfare Team help the most vulnerable residents at times of unavoidable crisis when they have no other means of support. They are there to offer information, guidance, signposting, and material support when people need it most and are proud of the work they do so when you join the team, you'll be providing a vital service to the people of Warwickshire.
Demand for the service has grown dramatically in recent years which is why they are looking for you to join them.

**What it's like working with us**
As a Specialist Customer Service Advisor, you will be part of a team of around 15 people who work closely together to deliver a high-quality service to some of the most disadvantaged people. The team choose to work from home or our office in Bedworth. On occasion you may be asked to work from the office for meetings or training.
People predominantly make contact via telephone, you will have an in-depth conversation with them to understand their crisis and assess their vulnerabilities and situation against our eligibility criteria. You will guide the person to various sources of support and may be able to offer immediate assistance with basic essentials.

You need to have exceptional communication skills. You will be able to adapt to the person you are speaking to, so they feel listened to and supported. Your maturity and resilience will help you deal with the varying emotions that people may display.
You will need to be able to evaluate a situation to identify potential risks and recognise when to seek advice. As a caring person you will strive to help people in need.
Your natural sense of curiosity will drive you to learn more about the diverse ways people can be supported to improve their lives. Your problem solving skills will be put to good use due to the varied nature of the work.
You will be able to work independently to a high standard, using multiple systems simultaneously, in order to contribute productively to the team.
