The position of **Senior AR Specialist** at Cycas Hospitality is characterized by its dynamic and ever-evolving nature. In close collaboration with Junior and Senior Accountants, Senior Management, General Managers, and Operational departments, your primary objective is to generate clear and transparent reports that facilitate critical thinking and support effective decision-making.

As a Senior AR Specialist, your core responsibilities encompass daily tasks such as posting daily revenues and statistics, revenue recognition, reconciling reports and data sets from PMS and ERP systems, overseeing credit control, generating reports, guiding the junior AR colleagues and continually enhancing the AR function through innovative process improvements.

Your role extends to working in close coordination with the rest of the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy and seamless transaction processing. Importantly, your position will expand in tandem with the growth of our business, providing substantial opportunities for personal development and hands-on experience as you take on increasingly challenging responsibilities.

Under the guidance of the AR Manager, as well as the Accounting Operations Manager, you will also play a key role in the insourcing of various legal entities, ensuring a seamless transition into Cycas' insourced accounting systems landscape.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administering relevant reports within the PMS and daily importing revenue and statistics into the ERP for assigned operational entities.
- Ensuring VAT compliance with local requirements, including PMS setup.
- Posting daily revenue, including daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reconciliation.
- Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations.
- Ensuring the month-end process is completed in accordance with requirements and deadlines.
- Analysing AR aging and following up on collections.
- Ensuring credit scores for new business accounts are obtained by the properties.
- Creating and compiling comprehensive ad-hoc reports.
- Developing SOPs and AR processes and procedures relevant to the hospitality industry.
- Collaborating with the hotels team to ensure proper and timely cash collection.
- Assisting with audit preparations and providing supporting schedules and backup for revenue recognition and accounts receivable.
- Ensuring that reported revenue to the brand and calculated fees align with agreements.
- Assisting assigned operational entities with disputes and addressing guest queries.
- Supporting the team in various internal projects.
- Handling ad-hoc and periodic reports.
- Coordinating and mentoring a team of junior AR Specialists.

**Requirements**:

- Hotel industry experience with an exceptional understanding of revenue recognition in hotels.
- Advanced proficiency in PMS systems and knowledge of PCI compliance.
- Knowledge of local GAAP (UK, NL, DE, DK, FR, CH) is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position.
- Account management experience, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in cash handling and tracking.
- Familiarity with credit and collection policies and procedures.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and well-organized.
- Effective time management skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
