Lincoln, United Kingdom Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust Full time

You will be responsible for leading and delivering on a number of key projects as identified by the Lincolnshire AHP Research Forum. These projects support the overarching vision of the Lincolnshire AHP Strategy in developing AHPs across Lincolnshire to reach their research ambitions. This will require the ability to work with a number of people across different organisations and professional backgrounds, to understand the gaps and potential development opportunities for research. You will have experience of leading projects and evidencing outcomes and impact to demonstrate value.

There will be an opportunity to work more broadly within the Lincolnshire Integrated Care System and in particular the Lincolnshire Academy for Clinical Excellent (LACE) and the People Team - both of these having a role to play in the future opportunities for our clinical workforce aspirations.

We are Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS), the primary community healthcare provider in Lincolnshire delivering services aimed at supporting people to manage their own health closer to home. We are rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission and are playing an integral part in shaping future health service provision countywide alongside partner health and social care organisations.

This role is employed by LCHS and works across the Lincolnshire Health and Care System as a key part of the Lincolnshire AHP team.
- To lead on driving actions from the Lincolnshire AHP strategy to ensure alignment with activities associated with the new Health Education England’s AHP research strategy.
- To develop a research mentoring network in collaboration with all stakeholders within Lincolnshire to support Lincolnshire AHPs to grow professionally and become active within research at all levels.
- To scope the potential for joint AHP Consultant posts with research and teaching academic posts at the University of Lincoln. Such posts could enhance patient care and form an essential component of a AHP research career pathway to support of aspiring AHP consultants and researchers in the county.
- To lead programmes of work and research to ensure objectives are achieved and actions taken to ensure a successful delivery of project outcomes, using sound decision making, analysis and judgement in relation to these.
- To lead on implementing a series of projects to ensure the sustainability of activity.
- To set-up an Innovations Ideas Development Programme for Lincolnshire AHPs to collaborate to identify innovative solutions against pre-identified problems and to work through the stages of taking an idea to implementing the solution.
- To communicate and provide highly complex information about research, innovation and professional regulatory systems, Trust wide project, initiatives and services to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a formal setting.
- To identify and report any work-related risks in accordance with Trust policy, utilising the appropriate reporting mechanisms, co-operating with those with designated responsibility in the investigation and management of identified risks. To take all reasonable care for own health and safety and that of others, by ensuring equipment is used safely, is well maintained and in good working order, by attending mandatory and core training as identified within the organisation and by adhering to LCHS policies, procedures and guidelines, which are all available on the Trust’s website.
- To provide training and mentoring in relation to research
- To work with local HEIs to develop opportunities for academic research activity for AHPs across Lincolnshire
- To represent and provide leadership within the Lincolnshire AHP Research Forum
