We’re currently recruiting for an L&D Specialist who will work from our Chelmsford office at circa one day per week and London as and when needed.
Reporting to the Learning & Development Partner, you’ll provide support for all Training and Competence activities, our Learning Management System & development across the organisation.
This role will have a particular focus on helping to organise our training events including booking venues, liaising with external providers, arranging travel and booking catering.
**Your Role**:
- Act as the main point of contact for all learning related queries, managing the L&D ticketing tool, ensuring appropriate responses are provided and escalating when appropriate
- Track, analyse & report on all learning activity and build robust learning records
- Review and monitor attendance and create utilisation data, to ensure both learning and cost effectiveness of development programmes.
- Monitor and maintain our Learning Management System, including event management, content refresh, adhoc reports and assignment of learning.
- Identify, recommend and implement streamlined processes to ensure the most time and cost effective method, making it easy for employees to develop
- Provide additional administrative support around other L&D activities, where appropriate including booking of meetings, preparing materials, scheduling and booking development solutions.
- Maintain and design the Learning Calendar, including a range of management and personal effectiveness workshops, ensuring this is uploaded and advertised to gain maximum efficiency of use.
- Maintain online resources library, ensuring appropriate alignment to our Behaviours Framework. This may also include project management, design and build eLearning modules and identifying how existing modules can be improved and updated
- Logistics support for core programmes, such as our Leadership Academy, ensuring venues, materials and resources are all in place.
- Develop resources to support colleague development, including "how to" and "quick tips"
- Working with Corporate Communications, own, maintain and regularly advertise training events
- Promote, create awareness and drive the use of internal resources for development, e.g. eLearning
- Manage and monitor external supplier agreements within agreed terms, including training and apprenticeships and professional bodies
**Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:
- You’ll ideally have Knowledge of LMS systems and a working knowledge of L&D best practice
- Experience in events coordination/events management would be beneficial
- CIPD or L&D equivalent qualification would be desirable
- Strong MS skills, including significant experience working with Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- You’ll be comfortable working autonomously and across multiple departments and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and present complex information in a clear and simple way
- Eligible to work in the UK
