Are you a passionate and enthusiastic audio designer who wants to make an impact on how one of the UK’s most popular games studios’ games sound?

At Jagex, we’re looking for a talented junior audio designer with a thirst for knowledge and understanding in all areas of game audio.

As part of our talented audio team, you will make an active contribution to the audio direction on our game projects while developing your skills in asset integration and developing as an audio designer from more senior members of the team.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Deliver professional level game audio, with support from more senior members of the audio team.
- Gain proficiency in asset integration using the game engine tools.
- Collaborate with other disciplines across the Studio to ensure that the audio design supports the game direction.
- Contribute to the audio direction of game projects where appropriate through collaborative discussion and research.
- Carry out the duties of the audio department and help develop its resources such as recording, building, and maintaining the studio sound libraries.
- Present ideas of sound design and music through concepting and storyboarding to present to the audio team and wider development.
- Take ownership of the audio for projects such as small-scale quests, bi-weekly releases, and marketing content.
- Follow briefs whilst adopting in-house working practices.
- Continuously develop game audio creation and integration skills.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Proficiency in sound design, demonstrated by a demo reel.
- Good knowledge of audio software tools (eg Reaper/Cubase)
- A clear passion for games and powerful drive to make them.
- Some understanding of game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal)
- Thirst for knowledge and understanding & a clear drive to learn and develop in all areas of game audio.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
