Assistant Project Manager

In the role of Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, monitoring, and controlling projects, products, service improvements or change management initiatives throughout the lifecycle to deliver benefits using PRINCE 2 methodology
- Making decisions on a range of complex project issues and advising staff on the optimum solution to resolve
- Identifying opportunities for the introduction of new technology to transform working practices, using knowledge to inform the scope and direction of work-streams they manage
- Assisting with the management and analysis of business requests for informatics programmes and projects and undertaking diagnostic work, as required
- Coordinating change requests and testing of products within the portfolio of projects
- Liaising with teams ensuring all personnel understand their roles and carry out tasks effectively and complete processes accurately including business cases, specifications, project plans, benefits analysis, and risk and issue logs
- Administration tasks: reports, budgets, presentations and ensuring that policies and procedures required are developed and adhered to
To be considered for the Assistant Project Manager job, you must have:
- Previous Project Management experience
- Advanced IT and PRINCE 2 experience
- Interpersonal, persuasive, and motivational skills
- The ability to travel frequently across North Wales
This is a 3-month, temporary role to support the period of change. You’ll be working full time hours, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, on an hourly salary of £17.29p/h plus holidays.
The base will be in St Asaph, though a large portion of time will be remote working. Please note, there will be requirements to travel across North Wales on an ad-hoc basis.
