MMP Consultancy are working with a public-sector organisation to recruit a Repairs & Contracts Officer (Garages) to work on a temporary contract based in London.

**Responsibilities**:

- Liaison with other offices, including housing management, the call centre, one stop shops or any other partner who may be approached by customers to ensure a co-ordinated, high quality and responsive repairs service to all residents that delivers customer service standards and performance indicators across the borough.
- Respond to queries both written and verbal to a very high standard. This includes queries from Council residents and the general public, also MP's and Members enquires and formal complaints. Ensure that the response is provided within target.
- Work with the Garages Services Manager to ensure that all areas within the Garages Services Team portfolio are managed, maintained and refurbished as necessary including responsibility for adhering to Fire Risk Assessments and understanding the importance and role of the fire team.
- Ensure that all issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner to avoid long term voids and poor customer service through ineffective management of our stock and surrounding areas.
- Work to budgets and performance standards and targets. To plan and monitor the deployment of resources for all repairs, refurbishments and enforcement actions.
- Develop inspection routines and enforcement procedures, providing written reports for the Garages Services and Operations Managers.
- Ensure that garages, barrow stores and other non-residential properties are fit for purpose in order to maximise income from tenancies. To monitor and undertake any necessary repairs, including security measures. To be responsible for drafting specifications, procuring repairs contractors and overseeing works as necessary.
- Develop proper enforcement procedures to ensure that garage and other non-residential tenants are complying with the terms of the non-residential tenancy agreements. To be responsible for regular inspections and investigations as necessary. To develop procedures and processes to identify and manage breaches of the non-residential tenancy agreements, including any necessary legal action. To develop community links to enable such procedures.
- Work to agreed void, repairs and refurbishment targets and ensure that these are met. Monitor voids in relation to ensuring that repairs are raised and carried out in a timely way and to agreed standards. Taking ownership of the process to ensure targets are met.
- Previous experience of working in a Customer Service, Repairs Advisor or Repairs Administrator role
- Previous experience of working with a Housing Association, Local Authority or Main Contractor
- Previous experience of using a CRM
- Excellent customer services and communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and experience of Housing Management / Repairs
