Fantastic opportunity for a proven Banking / Cashbook Supervisor to join our fast-paced organisation, reporting directly to the Finance Manager (Accounts Payable & Cashbook)

Leading a team of transactional individuals across cashbook and banking, you will be keen to start a new position where you can add value and utilise the experience you have gained thus far in your career.

You’ll be confident in challenging existing process and bring new ideas to the table as part of a continuous improvement cycle focusing on people, process & technology.
- Role Specifics_
- Managing a team of 4 in our transactional finance team - ensuring they have robust KPIs and achieve these on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Working alongside senior management to support and develop your team ensuring they can meet their full potential including regular conversations focussing in on progress and their career.
- Building strong relationships with other areas of the business and liaising with non-finance managers.
- The preparation and distribution of the daily cash report and cash variances to agreed schedules and by the deadlines set.
- The managing and opening of bank accounts and banking relationships with Morgan Sindall relationship managers.
- Monthly bank reconciliations of all the bank accounts with explanations of any outstanding items.
- Maintaining the bank signatory lists and banking mandates across the wider business
- Reviewing unallocated spreadsheets and assisting the wider business in identifying any unposted cash.
- Overseeing all BACs and CHAPs payments
- Manage the administration and processing of external corporate purchasing systems e.g. purchase card, fuel cards and travel support.
- Making recommendations in relation to continuous improvement of processes, procedures & technology.
- Assisting in yearly audits in answering any questions.
- Any ad-hoc duties that may arise.
- Skills, Competencies & Personal Qualities:_
- Experience in a similar banking/treasury role
- Accurate with figures and a good eye for detail
- Works well in a team environment and strives to help others
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience essential
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Confidence to identify and put forward ideas for continuous improvements
- Methodical approach to problem solving
- Strong excel skills
- Knowledge of Project Bank Accounts (PBA’s) is essential
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- A willingness to learn and be curious.
- Accounting qualifications beneficial
